Roof Trim & Fascias
Enhance the external appearance of your home with a stylish roof trim and fascias. Available in a variety of colour options and styles, they’re the perfect way to complement any home in the Cornwall area and improve its kerb appeal.
What are fascias?
They are boards that affix to the lower edge of your roof. They perform an essential role by supporting the lower rank of roof tiles, thereby providing a strong base for your guttering. They also prevent moisture from penetrating your rafters, so you won’t have to worry about rot or damp.
What is a roof trim?
It runs around the perimeter of your home, stops moisture entering, and improves the external view of your property, making it more appealing.
Our products are ideal for homes in Cornwall, Redruth, or the surrounding areas, and they are made to measure and manufactured at our dedicated factory. High performance and durability come as standard with this range, and you can customise the appearance of your products so they match your tiling and colour schemes. How do I recognise a fascia?
A fascia is a board that runs horizontally in tandem with your roofline. It’s clearly visible from the outside and performs a practical purpose. It’s responsible for securing your guttering and acts as a blocker, preventing damp or moisture entering your roof area. Timber fascias degrade if not properly looked after. If yours is made from wood, it’s probably showing sign of wear and tear already.

What is roof trim?
Roof trim is not a singular element. Rather, it incorporates a range of products, including soffits, guttering, cladding, and downpipes. Generically speaking, the purpose of a roof trim is to seal off your roof from weather elements that might otherwise penetrate and cause damage.
If you’re not sure whether your roof trim is in good working order, contact us today so we can answer your questions.
How is a bargeboard different from fascias or soffits?
Your fascia board runs along the lower section of the roof. It exists to prevent rain, damp, and cold air from penetrating. Its other function is to support the guttering.
A soffit is visible when looking up at your home. It runs parallel to the floor and secures the fascia to the wall.
The bargeboard affixes to the gable-end of a property. It sits at the intersection where the wall forms a pyramid shape. Its function is non-essential, although it does add aesthetic value. Bargeboards can be colour-matched to complement the external scheme of your home.
Are fascias and roof trims long-lasting?
Depending on what materials they’re created from, most definitely. If your roof trims or fascias are of timber construction, they could be showing signs of degradation. uPVC is now the material of choice, as its more impervious to the elements. Once you’ve updated your roofline, expect it to enhance the look of your home for many years to come.
