Ideal for family homes or scenarios where you’re looking for an original and practical back door style, our stable doors are stylish and let in plenty of cooling breezes.

How secure are stable doors?
Although they include more components and moving parts than other doors, they are still completely secure, and even more so if you choose from our high-quality range at Atlantic. The two doors lock together when closed, so they act just like any other door.
Separate locks can be fitted to the individual doors and a bolt fitted to secure both parts together if you want even more peace of mind.
Do you sell PVCu stable doors?
We do, and they are extremely popular. Each one in our range is energy-efficient, very secure, and uniquely stylish. We make them in our dedicated factory to individual specifications too, so you won’t be disappointed.
Our wood-finish PVCu stable doors effortlessly replicate the look of wood, so you can enjoy an authentic design for less. Your stylish new doors won’t be a case of style over substance, either. High-performance comes as standard.
How do stable doors work?
The door comprises two sections that make up the entire structure. The top and bottom sections operate independently, giving you full operational control. This means you’ll benefit from more ventilation and light without having to fully open your doors.
We’ll show you how to make the most of your new PVCu stable doors once we’ve finished installing them.
Why get a stable door?
They are suitable for rustic country back doors and modern suburban homes alike. It’s this adaptable aesthetic that makes it such a popular choice for UK homeowners. You can let light and cool air in, while stopping leaves and other debris from blowing in – all while enjoying a calming view.
If you have kids or pets, your doors will keep them safe while you’re out of the room (especially important if you live near a main road).
Do stable doors open in or out?
We can configure your door to open either way. Would yours block a window when opened outwards? If so, an inward-opening one would be best, provided there’s enough space to fasten the top section back. Outward-opening ones are more commonplace – as they can be secured without taking up valuable space.
It all depends on what space you have and what suits your home
Do stable doors come with windows?
We can design and manufacture doors with glazed panels. Glass panels will normally feature in the top part of the door to let in light when the bottom section is closed. This won’t compromise your home security because we include toughened glass as standard with all exterior doors.
